Flowers do not often bloom, but fragrance lingers in the soul permanently. 

Attention is not diverted while chrysanthemum is viewed delightfully. There is no distraction during studio time. All ideas, consideration, statement...... are just noise and disturbance. In the tranquility, flowers' verdant buds burst. Petals leisurely spread with variety, overflowing pure odor. Suddenly all thoughts are gone. “I lose the words to make it clear”. Silently, delicate scent from inner is concreted on the warm white canvas, being full of vitality. 

This morning, the falling petals woke me up with lingering fragrance gently. 

LAU believes, “Life itself is fragile, yet the energy it radiates is powerful and infinite. Flowers that are perceived to be weak and fragile are transformed into sheer energy and impact through the powerful representation on the canvas.” 

The Chrysanthemum flower is at the center of Alannala LAU's paintings. In traditional Chinese Art, chrysanthemum is one of the “Four Gentlemen” with a symbol of the sun and is associated with longevity and immortality. It played an undeniable role in traditional Chinese Art.
